MR WATT's engineers translate form, function, and electrical requirements into a manufacturable design, selecting cell technology, lamination, frame type, and connector configuration specific to your application.
For the pergola application, laser-cut back-contact monocrystalline cells were arranged in a custom matrix to achieve the 12V output target while maintaining uniform spacing for the semi-transparent aesthetic. The EVA/glass-glass construction provides frameless structural integrity and weather resistance rated for 25+ years of outdoor exposure.

- What sizes can custom panels be made in?
- MR WATT manufactures panels from a minimum of 50×50mm to a maximum of 2000×1000mm. Any intermediate size is achievable with a manufacturing tolerance of ±0.5mm.
- What is the maximum efficiency available?
- With SunPower back-contact monocrystalline cells we achieve up to 24.5% conversion efficiency — the highest available for custom panels. For cost-priority applications, standard monocrystalline cells are also available.
- How long does it take to produce a custom panel?
- Standard lead time is 2–4 weeks from design approval to delivery. Fast-track service is available for urgent orders. Contact us for an estimate tailored to your project.
- Can you produce non-rectangular shapes?
- Yes. We use laser cutting for precision shaping: L-shaped, trapezoidal, hexagonal, circular, or any geometry from DXF/SVG CAD files. Tolerance: ±0.5mm.
- What is the minimum order quantity?
- We work from single prototype units upwards. There is no mandatory minimum for development batches. Series pricing applies from approximately 50 units, with volume discounts for larger orders.
- What lamination types do you offer?
- We offer 5 constructions: glass (>20 year service life), semi-flexible ETFE/PET (7–8 years), PCB+Epoxy Resin (2 years), PCB+PET (3–4 years), PCB+ETFE (7–8 years). The choice depends on application, weight allowance, and required service life.
- Can I specify connectors and cable exit position?
- Yes. Junction box position, cable exit direction, cable length, gauge, and connector type (MC4, JST, Molex, bare pigtail) can all be specified to your integration requirements.
- Do you ship internationally?
- Yes, we ship worldwide. Panels are packaged with dedicated protective padding and accompanied by full technical documentation and Made in Italy certificate of origin.
